CRIM's IMPACT

CCAMH started working actively with the College Research and Innovation Management (CRIM) unit in the latter part of 2018 and the experience has been really pleasant. The CRIM unit has provided guidance and support for five research grants on which I am Principal Investigator. The CRIM unit has provided help in creating research grant budgets from scratch, providing clarification on grey areas of research grant budgets, invoicing for approved research grants and the provision of liaison with research grant partners. In all of these roles, I have found CRIM to be Professional, Proficient and Providing a Personal touch.

Professor Olayinka O Omigbodun FAS
Director, Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CCAMH)

CRIM has been a great value addition to research enterprise in the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan. Through CRIM, an enabling environment has been provided for research ideas to be conceived, successfully hatched and grown. We are establishing the first organized system of brain banking in sub-Saharan Africa with the support of a translational grant from CRIM. The leadership and staff of CRIM have been extremely supportive in terms of grant applications and grant management, always there to provide support even at odd hours of the night. CRIM has institutionalized renewed passion for research through the annual iResearch event.

Dr Akinyemi Rufus
Senior Researcher

The CRIM office has been instrumental to the successful submission of several NIH grants for team members at the Centre for Population and Reproductive Health (CPRH). The CRIM team have gone above board to provide necessary support round the clock to ensure a smooth submission process and we are indeed grateful to them. Some of our successful grant applications emanated from RFAs circulated by CRIM office.
